Frank Kernick, P.Eng
Frank Kernick is the owner and developer of Spring Creek Mountain Village in Canmore, AB. Owned by his family since 1926 and originally run as the Canmore Dairy Farm, the 70-acre
parcel in downtown Canmore is now a vibrant community and includes The Malcolm Hotel,
Origin at Spring Creek, Spring Creek Vacations, Spring Creek Resorts, and multiple residential
and vacation-zoned buildings. Future builds in Spring Creek include the Alexander Hotel and
Spa, and the Kernick Place Hotel
Before he unveiled his vision for Spring Creek in 2004, Frank Kernick developed some of the
most successful neighbourhoods in Canmore and in Invermere, BC. Intelligently designed with a commitment to quality of execution, these thriving neighbourhoods boast an authentic and
distinctive sense of place. Over 25 years, they include Canyon Close, Grotto Mountain Village
and Eagle Terrace in Canmore and, in Invermere, Lakeview Meadows.
Frank and many of his family members, including his Aunt Helen, still call Spring Creek home
and live in the community full-time. He’s proud of the legacy that he will pass on to his children
and grandchildren.
Serge Ouimette, P.Eng
Serge Ouimette has 33 years of outstanding performance in civil engineering, residential and resort development, landscape design and execution, spa development, and general management experience.
Serge’s greatest strength is in strategic planning, in both consulting and operating company
environments. His strong, analytical planning and engineering skills allow for thoughtful, well-
rounded decision-making. He has a successful, consistent record leading complex, multi-
engineering designs for municipal government and private sector developments.
Serge’s successes include several resort and residential projects such as Mont Tremblant Resort, the Fairmont Mont Tremblant, the Quintessence including the Spa & Wellness Centre, Cap Tremblant and the Spa & Wellness Centre, Golf la Maître, Le Geant Golf Course and Le Manitou Golf Course, Scandinave Mont-Tremblant and Le Nordik Spa (Chelsea).
