Guiding Principles
Canmore is our home, and we care about the community and its residents. We appreciate the benefits of tourism development and its role in economic prosperity, but also the balance that must be achieved to get it right.
As the developers of this project, we are committed to:
Responsible, fiscally sustainable growth and development
Environmental stewardship and protection
Sustainability and green design
Partnerships and collaboration
At each step of the planning, design, and realization of our vision and mission, we will:
Acknowledge neighborhood context
Prioritize trails, green spaces and public open spaces
Strike a balance between the built and natural environment

Community Engagement
The project team is committed to an open and transparent process that is informed by extensive technical studies and site analyses, as well as community input and feedback. Our plan is to engage the community and impacted stakeholders early and often throughout the research, planning and realization of the development.
To introduce the project, the project team invited the community to join them on May 8, 2024, to learn about and discuss the preliminary ideas for the project. 160+ people were introduced to the project through information boards a short presentation by the team, and an open forum Q & A session. A summary of the questions and responses from the May 8, 2024 engagements sessions is available here .
Community engagement sessions are being planned for Fall 2024. To receive notifications about engagement activities and opportunities, please sign up for email updates below.
